Interviewer And what is your name? My name
Lisa Warren is Lisa Warren. Mine is Jackson Dent Mobility manager. And the population for Jackson is 32542. I believe was the last time I looked. Dayton county was 1500 and hundred...
Lisa Warren A hundred and 1. I couldn't remember. That's that late. So, you know, not many in Benton County that Jackson's population has dropped I know since I was at the senior citizen. So Okay.
Interviewer And how many communities do you serve in the those areas?
Lisa Warren 3. We have 2... We have a village in a 2 Townsend Jackson County, and Dayton County is just Mca macarthur and Glen.
Interviewer Okay. Perfect. And how long have you been the mobility manager for these counties?
Lisa Warren 4 months.
Interviewer 4 months. Okay. And what did you do previously before coming the mobility manager? For 18 years, I served
Lisa Warren for the senior citizens in Jackson County, and I was I was... I worked there from... Every position there. I was Mills coordinator. I was transportation coordinator and at time they combine both jobs because of funding sources was very low.
Lisa Warren So I was the service coordinator. And then I was the marketing and activity director, And for 2 years, I served as the executive director wrong long as the director was out having a loan transplant.
Interviewer Oh, wow. Okay. And what part of being a mobility manager in her or interest you the most?
Lisa Warren Just getting out with the community and trying to help provide better transportation sources for the people, especially in our community here, Jackson and Dayton counties are but very rural areas, and we have a lot of people who live way out in the country. So trying to get help them get transportation closer to town for doctor's appointments for shopping for just some of the basic needs that you need for mental health beauty shop. Appointments. You know, just been out with people play bingo, things like that, that bar seniors, that's a big thing. And for Lissa disabilities, you know, they're very limited on providers in the area that has wheelchair bands, and we have 2 that have plenty of wheelchair veins to be able to provide that in Jackson County.
Lisa Warren Dayton County has like 11 different sources. Do of transportation Jackson has 3. 0, wow. I take that back. We just got a new 1.
Lisa Warren Just got approved through J was Green cab. So we'll have 4 now Jackson.
Interviewer Good. Good. Good. What projects in your... Plan excite you the most.
Lisa Warren The project right now that I'm really excited about is trying to get Dayton County on board with the call center. They... The... Those providers are really scared about stepping out of that comfort zone and letting us handle, bringing those clients in and refer them out. They're afraid of losing their money.
Lisa Warren I mean, you know, a lot of them are for profit, so that's their bread. And I have a meeting set in August with the Jackson County providers to go to Wit County and set them with all the providers there. I'm waiting on some responses from them. And to be able to have a question and answer session. So the people here can explain to them Yeah.
Lisa Warren We weren't kinda scared about that at first, but it has done that but promote our business and boosted it, really? Mh. Takes a lot of worry off of of of the provider have to get the clients approved, because the call center handles all that, getting them approved and make and getting the referral letters for out of town. We hand all that within our call center.
Interviewer Oh, wow. Okay. Very good. And tell us 1 thing about yourself that we would know.
Lisa Warren I'm very active in our 4 h program in Jackson County. I have been since... I was a age member from time I was 9 years old until I... Aged out, and then I became a 4 age advisor and have been every since. I am the chair person for our Fundraising committee purple age.
Lisa Warren I have 1 of the biggest 4 clubs in Jackson County. I'm 60 some kids. So I'm really involved in that. And I'm involved in my church quite a bit.
Interviewer Being a new brand new mobility manager tell us what or what would you say to other new mobility manager, is they're onboarding?
Lisa Warren Ask questions. Ask... Oh, questions I thought were stupid You know what I'm, I... I'm embarrassed to ask this, but ask them because you don't know. There's...
Lisa Warren This is a different... Part of the jobs in done before when it comes to transportation. There's a lot of information that you don't know that can help our county and everything from o dot that... It's... Basketball all questions.
Lisa Warren I guess, I'm... It is... It's it's a scary thing at first because it is wide. It's... To me, it seems very wide.
Lisa Warren And and at the same time, I feel that there's also some barriers things you can and can't do. And that's my question. You know what? What is motor are eligible to do and represent. Mh.
Lisa Warren Yeah. I don't wanna step over that line. The example was I had to colonoscopy and ask. I was asked to handle the senior day at our County Fair. And I got hold of car lane and shoes was very nice and explain to me what I could do.
Lisa Warren I could be this sponsorship and set it up with everyone to come in. And they could take care of getting them... Taking care of bring the food in. I have all the nursing homes in our county involved in it, and other facilities come in to help. So I'm just spear it dividing the jobs out what they need to do.
Lisa Warren Okay. It's a good representation of the mobility management in the same time for county.
Interviewer Yes, it is. And that's a good thing. For other people to know exactly what you can and can't do when it comes to those kind of projects?
Lisa Warren Yes. Yeah. For
Interviewer Alright. Anything else you'd like to share with us?
