Dendrite
Second-generation Matrix homeserver: a scalable, microservice-based alternative to Synapse, engineered in Go.
Dendrite is the second-generation Matrix homeserver, written in Go to provide an efficient, reliable, and highly scalable alternative to the reference server, Synapse. It employs a microservice architecture, which allows the deployment to be distributed across multiple machines for superior performance and resilience in large-scale environments. The project strictly implements the open Matrix specification, using the same rigorous test suites as Synapse to ensure protocol compliance. Currently in beta, Dendrite is actively developed to deliver a high-performance, low-memory-footprint solution for secure, decentralized, real-time communication.
