IP defense
IP defense is a cloud-native security layer that uses real-time threat intelligence to block malicious traffic at the network perimeter.
Modern IP defense moves beyond static firewalls by integrating live global threat feeds directly into existing network hardware like routers, switches, and load balancers. Platforms such as ThreatSTOP automate the identification of criminal infrastructure, including command-and-control servers and known DDoS botnets, to neutralize threats before they penetrate the internal network. By applying over 600 customizable policies and utilizing anycast network technology for high availability, this technology reduces the processing load on downstream security tools and prevents data exfiltration. It essentially renders a network invisible to automated scanners and malicious actors by proactively dropping connections from high-risk IP sources.
