Multi Phase Execution Engine
A parallel runtime that executes thousands of smart contract transactions simultaneously across high-performance hardware cores.
The Multi Phase Execution Engine (Sealevel) delivers 50,000+ transactions per second by identifying non-overlapping state transitions before processing begins. While legacy systems (like the single-threaded EVM) stall on sequential execution, this engine sorts transactions into distinct phases: validation, parallel execution, and commitment. It leverages a scatter-gather architecture and Cloudbreak (a horizontally scaled accounts database) to ensure hardware is the only bottleneck. The system achieves sub-second finality by maximizing CPU and GPU utilization across the entire validator cluster.
