PremSQL is the open-source, local-first library for building secure, end-to-end Text-to-SQL pipelines using Small Language Models (SLMs).

PremSQL delivers secure, autonomous AI-powered data analysis by keeping your data entirely local (a key differentiator). This modular, open-source framework allows developers to build and deploy complete Text-to-SQL solutions. Core components include Generators (converting natural language to SQL), Executors (running queries against databases like SQLite, Postgres, or MySQL), and Evaluators (assessing performance via metrics like Execution Accuracy). The library supports SLMs, including the custom Prem-1B-SQL model, and integrates seamlessly with existing workflows (e.g., LangChain) to provide a customizable, privacy-focused alternative to closed, third-party LLMs.
