A high-performance computer vision pipeline pairing SIFT descriptors with LightGlue transformers for precision image matching in Google Colab.

This stack leverages the cvg/LightGlue repository to modernize classic SIFT feature extraction using deep learning transformers. By running PyTorch on Google Colab (utilizing T4 or A100 GPU runtimes), you achieve sub-100ms inference for sparse matching tasks. HuggingFace provides the model distribution layer, ensuring seamless weight loading for the transformer architecture. It is a production-ready solution for complex geometric tasks: Structure from Motion (SfM), SLAM, and wide-baseline stereo matching.
