ROS 2 Jazzy Jalisco: The 10th, Long-Term Support (LTS) distribution, delivering a major stability and performance upgrade for modern robotics development.

Jazzy Jalisco is the 10th official ROS 2 release (May 2024), designated as an LTS version with support locked in until May 2029. This distribution focuses on core stability and performance: expect streamlined ROS 2 and Gazebo integration, with Gazebo Harmonic as the recommended simulation counterpart. We’ve implemented key fixes, including optimized `rclcpp` executors to resolve race conditions and improved `rclcpp_action` goal handle management. Jazzy is the most stable, full-featured foundation available, primarily supporting Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble).
