SOCKS5 Proxy
SOCKS5 is a versatile networking protocol that routes TCP/UDP traffic through a proxy server while supporting advanced authentication and IPv6.
SOCKS5 operates at Layer 5 of the OSI model to bridge client-server communication without inspecting the application payload. Unlike HTTP proxies, it handles any traffic type (including VoIP and gaming via UDP) and supports GSS-API or username/password authentication. It is the industry standard for bypassing geo-blocks or securing remote access because it masks the client IP address while maintaining high throughput. Most modern tools (like SSH, cURL, and Telegram) use SOCKS5 to tunnel data through firewalls or across the Tor network.
