Sound Transit operates the Link light rail, Sounder trains, and ST Express bus network connecting the Seattle metropolitan area.

We move the Puget Sound region across three counties using a high-capacity transit mix. Our fleet includes 1500-series Siemens light rail vehicles and Bombardier bi-level commuter coaches. We are currently executing the ST3 expansion: a $54 billion capital program adding 62 miles of light rail to reach a 116-mile system by 2041. Key hubs like Union Station and Westlake serve as the backbone for 100,000+ daily boardings. We focus on grade-separated rights-of-way and 6-minute peak headways to ensure reliable regional mobility.
