Spot Vision
The Welch Allyn Spot Vision Screener is a handheld, objective device: it detects six amblyopic risk factors in seconds for patients as young as six months.
The Spot Vision Screener (Model VS100) is a portable, instrument-based vision screening device from Welch Allyn (a Baxter business). It captures an image from a non-invasive, three-foot distance, providing objective results in mere seconds. The technology supports AAP guidelines for early detection and is proven to capture readings 97% of the time, even with difficult subjects. It quickly detects six major amblyopic risk factors—including myopia and astigmatism—offering a clear Pass/Refer recommendation to streamline follow-up care and EMR integration.
