Tippecanoe is the core utility for transforming massive geospatial datasets into web-ready vector tiles. This C++ application processes input formats like GeoJSON, Geobuf, and CSV, outputting them as single-file MBTiles or PMTiles archives. It automatically manages critical cartographic details: the tool efficiently calculates optimal minimum and maximum zoom levels and intelligently drops features at low zoom to maintain performance and visual clarity on dense maps.
